I have been able to attend a handful of Fairways for Warriors events in the Orlando area over the past few years and they are always meaningful experiences. Often there are severely disabled veterans on hand and they all typically play golf much better than me. Being around these men and women is always an inspiration.

Fairways is also regularly sharing important information regarding veterans benefits and opportunities to assist one another. This is one of those organizations that always puts the veterans first. Love them!

This is the program that I wish I'd known about when I was leaving the military. I do not believe there is a better employment focused program for transitioning military and veterans who are looking for meaningful employment within corporate America. I first discovered FourBlock in 2018 and then waited patiently for Orlando, FL to be chosen as a cohort location. I have been one of two Career Readiness Program Instructors for the Orlando cohorts since early 2020.

Here is my 'why': "When I retired from the Marine Corps in May 2016, I had no idea how to properly network, I didn't have a network in Orlando outside of the Defense industry, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do, and I had no understanding of how companies hire talent. Unfortunately, I didn't know about FourBlock and so many other resources then. If I had, then my transition would have been much smoother. My own personal experience is why I am now happy to be a FourBlock instructor in Orlando because I know so many other transitioning military members and veterans have the same hurdles." - Barron Mills
